![]() I do like the idea of the X-Men (if they're actually called that in this movie) having old-school costumes. Will the entire movie be set in the 60s? If there's a sequel, would it stick close to this time period (so McAvoy and Fassbender can still appear in the sequel)? With Emma being tied to the Hellfire Club, obviously this movie can't have any connections to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I don't know how a 'superhero' movie set in the 60s will do. I am surprised if this is the direction they go. = TEASER = I'm not really sure what to make of this information. January Jones and Kevin Bacon will bring in the Hellfire Club as Emma Frost and Sebastian Shaw (has Bacon been officially confirmed as Shaw?). The costumes will be "more comic bookish" and we wont' see characters like Scott and Jean but apparently we will see Havok. Singer said this won't be your typical X-Men film since it's set in the 60s. Xavier will not be in his wheelchair and we'll get to see how he came to need one and also he'll still have hair (so no bald James McAvoy?). We'll see the first meeting between Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr. The movie will take place during the 1960s in the time of JFK, Martin Luthor King and Malcom X. AICN spoke with Producer Bryan Singer and apparently some of the beans were spilled. ![]() Im left to wonder, what's going on in Matthew Vaughn's head. Rumors about the movies casting are flying, and I'm getting antsy to see this thing. X-Men: First Class is a movie we just can't stop talking about.
